Synopsis

This documentary will explore the unique and passionate theatre community in Kamloops B.C. set against the backdrop of the Stage One Theatre Program for youth and its summer production course in which students build a show from start to finish ending with a public run of performances. Stage One is often a beginning, a first glimpse into the world of art and theatre for kids ranging in age from 4 to 18. The spirit of Stage One and the atmosphere it creates changes the lives of those who participate, creating moments that last and opportunities to grow through theatre. Through the eyes of alumni who spent years in Stage One we will witness the impact it has had on their lives, past and present.
